With roots in the North East brewing industry, Maxim Brewery was formed following the closure of Vaux Breweries in 1999.
Since 2006, the brewery has been based in Houghton-le-Spring, producing well-known regional favourites and building a loyal following among beer drinkers across the North East.
Its portfolio includes Double Maxim, Samson, Lambtons and Swedish Blonde, alongside a selection of seasonal beers. Now part of Powder Monkey Group, Maxim Brewery continues its brewing heritage, with a focus on keeping its established brands and brewing expertise rooted in the region. Its acquisition strengthens the group’s presence and brewing capabilities in the North East.
